Three decisions that make the difference, not style, not trend.
House of the week is not a Tenet project. It is a reference residential example we use in the studio when explaining to clients that architecture is not a facade choice, but a chain of decisions about space, light, boundary, and budget.
Three decisions worth studying:
1. Inside-outside boundary. Space does not start at the facade, it starts where the interior rhythm stops and the exterior begins. When that boundary is intentional (screen, depth, threshold, landscape), the house reads as one whole.
2. Cutting light. The best houses do not have "more light", they have light in the right place at the right time of day. That is a decision about orientation and what to leave unclosed.
3. Budget as sequence, not number. Material is chosen after spatial order, not before. When "marble or wood" is fixed first, space often adapts to material, and cost rises without proportional value.
For the investor, a house is often the first large project. For the architect, a house is a laboratory of decisions at small scale. House of the week is a way to see those decisions clearly, without pretending one example fits every plot.
